If you have any home theater system; and your TV has audio out RCA sockets at the rear or front side of it, connect it to audio system, and swich on both and find if there is sound output or not.

If there is sound through an external device, make sure once again that the internal sound output Ic has damaged. I had a similar problem it turned out that speaker wires where disconnected. Either you have a lose connection to the external speakers or you have the sound output on mute in the sound menu. If the sound output Ic has damaged, sometimes you may not hear any sound at all too.
Re-install the audio driver.
